The inmate who escaped custody after assaulting her deputy jailer escort when she was taken to a local hospital is back behind bars, now in Harlan County. This is after deputies received a tip that she was in the Pansy Community.

On Wednesday night December 29, 2021, a Bell County Detention Center inmate, 38-year-old Juanita Olyene Robinson of Baxter Kentucky, was taken to Pineville Community Health Care after complaining of a supposed head injury.

While at the hospital waiting to be assessed Robinson attempted to escape through the ceiling of a room. When that failed, she assaulted the female deputy jailer that escorted her to the facility and escaped custody running from the hospital over Highway 25E into traffic.

Both Pineville City Police and Bell County Sheriff’s Deputies responded and began searching for Robinson.

On Wednesday March 2, 2022, Robinson was booked into the Harlan County Detention Center by Deputy Danny Lewis. She is now charged with (2) two counts of escape - 2nd degree, assault - 3rd degree - inmate assault on correctional employee, possession of controlled substance - 1st degree (Methamphetamine), and failure to appear.
