Monday April 5, 2021 a man wanted by police for sex offender registry issues was captured by Officer Jeremiah Johnson. Middlesboro Police were actively seeking 54 year old Freddie Melvin Jones, who is listed on the Kentucky lifetime sex offender registry.
He was aware that police were looking for him for a violation of the sex offender registry and theft of identity of another without consent. After being lodged in the Bell County Detention Center he was also charged with resisting arrest.
Jones is being held without bond.
