On Tuesday February 23, 2021 at approximately 11:50pm Officer Nick Capps observed a male walking that matched the description of a suspect on a active case. He was identified as 24 year old Marshall Gray of Pineville.
As Officer Capps was talking to Gray, he threw down a needle and began to flee on foot. After a short foot pursuit the officer was able to catch Gray and take him into custody. Officer Capps was able to locate the discarded needle which contained a crystal rock like substance believed to be Methamphetamine.
Marshall Gray was charged for a failure to appear bench warrant, fleeing or evading police (on foot) and possession of controlled substance 1st degree (Methamphetamine).
Gray was out on bond on a previous drug charge from December of 2020.
