From the Knox County Ky Sheriff's Department -
On Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at approximately 5:20 pm Knox County Deputies received a report of a suspicious vehicle parked on Gregory Branch Road in Artemus. When the deputies arrived at that location, they observed a man sitting inside a vehicle. When the deputies made contact with the man, he refused to identify himself, refused to exit the vehicle, and was very belligerent toward them.
A syringe was observed in plain view inside the vehicle, at that time he was removed from the vehicle. Also located in the vehicle were crushed Soboxone tablets, several Suboxone strips, and an additional syringe.
He was finally identified as 37-year-old Tip Miller of Somerset, KY.
Miller was arrested and charged with Possession of Controlled Substance-2nd Degree, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Menacing, and Driving on DUI. He was also wanted on a Kentucky Parole Board Warrant for Parole Violation originating from Possession of a Firearm by Convicted Felon and Bail Jumping-1st Degree charges.
Deputies also learned that Tip Miller was a fugitive wanted by Sevier County Tennessee and should be considered armed and dangerous. He was wanted on charges of Theft of Property over $2,500 and Possession of Tools used in a Retail Theft.
Tip Miller was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
