Tazewell, Tennessee man dies in Bell County tree cutting accident

From the Bell County Sheriff's Department -

On Wednesday, September 15, 2021, at 11:56am, Bell County Dispatch received a call of an individual falling while cutting a tree at a residence just off of Highway 1534 in the Page Community.


Responding to the scene were Bell County Deputy’s Frank Foster, Marti Messer, and Sgt. Jared Smith, along with Bell County EMS personnel.


Once on scene, it was determined that while performing tree cutting operations, 54-year-old Brian Terrence Parker of Tazewell, Tn., owner of Parker Tree Company, was not wearing a safety harness and fell from the bucket truck he was using dying instantly.


Bell County Deputy Coroner Don Horton was requested to the scene and declared Mr. Parker deceased.


Deputy Messer is in charge of this investigation.


**Next of kin was notified prior to this release being published.
