From The Bell County Volunteer Fire Department
On Saturday afternoon January 5 2019 at approximately 12:47 the Bell County Volunteer Fire Department was paged out by Bell Dispatch to a structure fire on Knot Hole Road off of Highway 66 in the Arjay community.
Bell County fire units arrived on scene at 1:12pm and determined that the house was already burned and on the ground. Fire personnel performed what is known as an exterior attack to extinguish the flames .
Responding to the scene were three trucks pumper - 1 pumper 3 and pumper 5. BCVFD members on scene was Chief Toney Dye, Assistant chief Derek Jones, Battalion chief Ben Napier Captains Adron Wilson, Samson Churchwell, Darrell Haley and Jake Dye Firefighters Randy Hamontree, David Saylor, and Daniel Raines.
Fire units cleared the scene at 2:09pm.
Bell Dispatch and Asst Fire Chief Sheryl Dye tell WRIL that while Kentucky Utilities were called to the scene due to power lines over the home, it was unoccupied at the time of the fire.
