Playing The Lottery Without Paying Results In A Middlesboro Arrest

A woman has found herself in trouble with the law after Middlesboro Lt Detective Barry Cowan charged her for theft.


35-year-old Rindy Flanary of Middlesboro was employed at Lee's Food Mart on North 25th Street. During her employment, Flanary was accused by the business of taking $11,546.00 worth of lottery tickets. She played the tickets without paying for them and subsequently lost.


She was arrested on Thursday, August 29th and lodged in the Bell County Detention Center. Lt. Cowan has charged her with theft by unlawful taking over $10,000 but under $1,000,000.
