Late Thursday afternoon February 27th at 4:45pm Kentucky State Trooper Taylor Mills clocked a white Ford Bronco on Log Mountain - Highway 25E traveling southbound at 80mph in a 55mph zone.
Trooper Mills states in a citation that while attempting to catch up with the driver, he continued to drive at a high rate of speed. The driver then turned onto Old Pineville Pike crossing into the oncoming lane of travel while being pursued by the trooper. Due to the time of day and approaching city limits, Trooper Mills terminated pursuit for safety. The Bronco was located a short time later at Bella Gardens Apartments.
Once Mills arrived on scene, the driver was pointed out by bystanders and was given commands to stop, but he fled on foot. Middlesboro Police had joined the scene and deployed a taser stopping the driver and then placed him under arrest.

The driver was carrying a brown backpack which was searched yielding a large amount of Marijuana, a large amount of money, and a semi-automatic handgun.
After his arrest, the man gave Trooper Mills false identifying information claiming he was a 17-year-old juvenile. He was later identified as 20-year-old Isaiah Morris of Pineville and booked into the Bell County Detention Center.
Morris was charged with speeding 25mph over the limit, reckless driving, fleeing or evading police – 2nd degree (motor vehicle), fleeing or evading police – 2nd degree (on foot), trafficking in Marijuana (8 oz. to 5lbs) – 1st offense, buying or possessing drug paraphernalia, giving an officer false identifying information, and he was served three failure to appear warrants.
