Miracle, Ky. man charged on sexual offenses has more added as another victim comes forward

A man recently given bond on sexual offense charges was re-arrested after another victim came forward.


WRIL reported on July 6th that Bell County Chief Deputy Jared Smith arrested 49-year-old Billy Myers of Miracle, Ky. charging him with:


(1) one count of Sexual Abuse - 1st degree - victim less than 12 years of age, for subjecting another person to sexual contact;


(2) two counts of Rape - 1st degree - victim less than 12 years of age, for engaging in sexual intercourse with another person;


(1) one count of Sodomy - 1st degree - victim less than 12 years of age, for engaging in deviate sexual intercourse with another person;


(2) two counts of Unlawful Transaction with a minor - 3rd degree, for giving two minors alcoholic beverages.


This incidents are said to have taken place between December 1, 2019 through May 1, 2022.


Billy Myers was being held on bond but had recently been released from custody awaiting indictment.


On Wednesday, September 21, 2022 Bell County Sgt. Frank Foster re-arrested Myers after another juvenile victim came forward with more allegations. Chief Deputy Smith has added (3) three counts of rape - 1st degree to Myer's list of charges. The latest allegations involve incidents said to have taken place in December of 2021. The charges state that Myers was "engaging in sexual intercourse three (3) times with another person, a juvenile, by forcible compulsion." Myers is once again being held on a $250,000 cash bond.
