Middlesboro Police conduct year-long trafficking investigation making multiple arrests

After a year-long investigation led by Drug Detective Ryan Collins, Middlesboro Police Department has conducted another drug-trafficking round-up of suspects.


On February 17, 2023, Middlesboro Officers went to Pinnacle Homes and arrested Jimmy Jackson. Officers also went to Guy Lane and attempted to arrest Jasmine Seigler on complaint warrants for Trafficking. Seigler was seen looking out the bathroom window and she could be heard talking, but she wouldn’t let officers in the residence.

Officers made entry to the residence through an unlocked door and made contact with Jasmine, her boyfriend Kyle Baker, and a juvenile. Jasmine was placed under arrest and transported off scene. Officers on scene contacted Social Services due to the living conditions and drug paraphernalia throughout the residence. Also in plain view, an officer saw ammunition and magazines throughout the residence. Baker was asked if he was a felon and he stated no.

Consent to search the residence for drugs and weapons was given and upon searching under a bed in the living room, an AR 15 .556 along with magazines and ammunition were found. Discovered on top of the fridge was a 9mm handgun with a loaded magazine and holster. Dispatch confirmed that both Baker and Seigler were convicted felons and neither claimed ownership of the weapons found.


All three were lodged in the Bell County Detention Center.


Jimmy Jackson was charged with 2 counts trafficking in controlled substance – 1st degree, 1st offense (Methamphetamine), 1 count trafficking in controlled substance 3rd Degree D.U.

Jasmine Seigler was charged with 3 counts trafficking in controlled substance – 1st degree, 1st offense (Methamphetamine), 1 count possession firearm by a convicted felon, 1 count possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, and 1 felony probation violation warrant.

Kyle Baker was charged with 1 count possession firearm by a convicted felon and 1 count possession of a handgun by a convicted felon

Officers involved in the incident were: Sgt Jeremiah Johnson, Ptrl Jacob Perry, Ptrl Preston Saylor, Ptrl Benjamin Spurlock, and Drug Detective Ryan Collins.


On February 18, 2023, Officers went to a residence on Balmoral Rd in reference to wanted individuals. Once on scene Officers located Erica Moe hiding under a blanket in a bedroom along with Heather Greene Lawson. Sandy Flanary was also on scene.


While officers were at that location, KSP Trooper Mills located Deanna Rodgers while conducting a traffic safety checkpoint. She was also in possession of Methamphetamine.


All three were lodged in the Bell County Detention Center


Erika Moe was charged with 3 counts trafficking in controlled substance – 1st degree, 1st offense (Methamphetamine) and served a felony bench warrant.


Heather Green Lawson was served a parole violation warrant and 5 FTA warrants.


Sandy Flanary was served a child support warrant.


Deanna Rodgers was charged with 2 counts of trafficking in controlled substance – 1st degree, 1st offense (Methamphetamine) and a count of possession of Methamphetamine.



Officers involved in the incident(s) were: Sgt Jeremiah Johnson, Ptrl Jacob Perry, Ptrl Jonathan Kinder, Ptrl Preston Saylor, Drug Detective Ryan Collins, and KSP Trooper Taylor Mills.


On February 19, 2023, Officer Jonathan Kinder conducted a traffic stop and located Gary Overton and Shirley Saylor. Overton had a handgun under the driver seat of the vehicle and was a determined to be a convicted felon.


Officers later went to a residence and arrested Lemodee Catherine Gilbert for drug trafficking.


Lemodee Catherine Gilbert was charged with 2 counts trafficking in controlled substance – 1st degree, 1st offense (Methamphetamine).


Gary Overton was charged with 1 count trafficking in controlled substance - 1st degree, 1st offense (Methamphetamine), 1 count possession handgun by convicted felon, and 1 count persistent felony offender - 1st degree.


Shirley Saylor was served with a parole violation warrant.


Officers involved in the incident(s) were: Sgt Jeremiah Johnson, Lt Josh Burchett, Ptrl Preston Saylor, Ptrl Jonathan Kinder, and Drug Detective Ryan Collins.


Other individuals were already incarcerated in the Bell County Detention Center and served warrants.


Jonathan Widener was charged with count trafficking in controlled substance (Methamphetamine) > or = 2 grams and 1 count persistent felony offender - 1st

degree.


Connor Holbrook was charged with 1 count trafficking in controlled substance – 1st degree, 1st offense (Methamphetamine).


Donna Simmons was charged with 1 count trafficking in controlled substance – 1st degree, 1st offense (Methamphetamine).


Russell Barnett was charged with 1 count trafficking in controlled substance – 1st degree, 1st offense (Methamphetamine).


Lacie Duchemin was charged with 1 count trafficking in controlled substance – 1st degree, 1st offense (Fentanyl).


More arrests are pending.
