A Middlesboro man wanted for escape from a inmate county work detail has been located and taken into custody on Wednesday, April 14, 2021.
Middlesboro Officer Jeremiah Johnson reports in a citation that on October 20, 2020 Bell County Deputy Frank Foster acquired a complaint warrant that states 37-year-old Matthew Houston escaped from the work detail while working at Cannon Creek.
Houston was located at a residence on Old Pineville Pike and taken into custody without incident by Officer Johnson assisted by Officer’s Dakota Torstrick and Brad Fuson.
Matthew Houston was re-lodged in the Bell County Detention Center charged with escape - 2nd degree and he was served an outstanding bench warrant.
He is being held on a $50,000 cash bond.
