Middlesboro man arrested after MPD execute search warrant at his residence for drug trafficking

On Friday, September 3, 2021, at 7:20pm Middlesboro Officers executed a search warrant at 501 Doncaster Avenue in reference to drug trafficking. Officer Ryan Collins states in a citation that they made contact with 34-year-old William Patterson (aka Chill Will) leaving his home getting into his vehicle. The officers explained they had a search warrant for his residence and to search him.


After retrieving keys to the home from Patterson, officers made entry into the home. In the living room/kitchen area on a table was found drug paraphernalia, distribution bags, and a digital scale all containing a crystal-like substance believed to be Methamphetamine.


Found in the bedroom of the home on a dresser was a large bag of suspected Marijuana, a prescription bottle full of pills including 73 Xanax, 4 Gabepentin, 11 pills marked DP, 2 additional digital scales, and a large amount of cash. Also found on Patterson prior to a search of the home was a large amount of cash in a front pocket of his pants.


William Patterson was arrested and lodged in the Bell County Detention Center charged with trafficking in controlled substance – 1st degree, 1st offense (greater than 2 grams – Methamphetamine), trafficking in controlled substance – 3rd degree, 1st offense (greater than 20 but under 120 dosage units – drug unspecified), possession of a controlled substance, and trafficking in Marijuana – 1st offense.
