WRIL has learned that early Sunday morning September 13, 2020 a pickup truck was stolen from the Johnson City area. The truck was seen in Claiborne County at the Marathon gas station in Harrogate and then later after it wrecked at the corner of Fulton Road and Queen’s Lane around 4am. The operator fled the scene on foot. The Claiborne County Sheriff’s Department, including a K-9 unit, responded and for several hours search for the individual, but were unable to locate him. We have been given a description of a white male with blonde hair who was wearing a t-shirt and black hat. If you have information regarding the individual please call the Claiborne County Sheriff’s Department. All calls will be kept confidential.
