On Friday, October 6, 2023, at approximately 4:00pm, there was a stabbing incident in Harlan County at Wallins post office.
Responding to the scene was Kentucky State Police Post 10 with Trooper Aaron Caldwell in charge of the investigation.
Tpr. Caldwell's preliminary investigation determined that three male adults were involved in an altercation. During the fight, one person was stabbed twice in the back with a pocket knife. The injured male was taken to Harlan ARH to be treated for serious, but non-life threatening injuries.
Charges are pending in the case against the individual who stabbed the victim.
We will have more once the suspect is in custody.
