From the Knox County Sheriff's Department -
On Sunday, February 18, 2024, at approximately 1:05 am, Knox County Deputies developed information that a large quantity of Methamphetamine and Fentanyl/Heroin was being delivered to the Corbin area in a gray Dodge Charger. Knox County Deputies and members of the Laurel County Drug Interdiction Task Force located the vehicle and conducted a traffic stop on the Cumberland Gap Parkway in Corbin.
After conducting an investigation approximately three (3) ounces of suspected Crystal Methamphetamine along with approximately three (3) ounces of suspected Fentanyl/Heroin were located in the possession of 29-year-old Demarcus Deon Johnson of Flint, Michigan.
Johnson was arrested and charged with Trafficking in Controlled Substance-1st Degree/ Methamphetamine, Trafficking in Controlled Substance-1st Degree/Fentanyl and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
He was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
