We are following a report of Senator Johnnie L. Turner being flown out Sunday evening September 15th after a serious accident involving a riding lawnmower he was operating at his home in the Sukey Ridge area of the county.
KSP PIO Trooper Shane Jacobs tells us the call came into Harlan Post 10 at 7:58pm. The caller stated that Senator Turner drove his riding lawnmower into the deep end of an empty pool. Dispatch then paged out Troopers, Sunshine Fire Department, and Lifeguard EMS.
Mr. Turner was transported to Harlan ARH Hospital helipad to be flown to a hospital for treatment of his injuries. His condition is unknown at this time.
