Early Saturday morning November 28, 2020, at approximately 4:00am, 43 year old Harold Von Royce Hatfield, was arrested and taken into custody by Claiborne County Sheriff Office deputies in the Little Sycamore area of Claiborne County, Tennessee .
Hatfield was a fugitive from Kentucky after he had escaped from the Bluegrass Career Development Center located in Richmond, Kentucky. Hatfield had been serving a 10-year sentence on a Bell County assault charge after stabbing SKCTC professor Jamie Vaught in 2017 at his home.
Hatfield is currently lodged in the Claiborne County Detention Center where he is awaiting extradition back to Kentucky.
