On December 1, 2021, a Tennessee man was sentenced in court to serve (10) ten years in prison after he plead guilty to sexual offenses in Bell County.
On January 2, 2020 we reported that then Middlesboro Sgt. Barry Cowan (now a lieutenant) arrested 43 year old John Washam of Jacksboro, Tn charging him with rape - 3rd degree and incest.
The alleged incidents are reported to have taken place in September of 2019 and continued until January 1, 2020.
Washam had plead guilty to his charges on September 8, 2021 and is being transferred to prison.
