Intoxicated Barbourville woman arrested after causing a disturbance at a local school

On Wednesday, August 18, 2021, at approximately 2:50 pm Knox County Deputy/School Resource Officer Steve Owens was called to Lynn Camp Elementary School regarding an intoxicated female in the lobby causing a disturbance.


After talking with school employees, Deputy Owens attempted to interview the female who refused to answer any questions. Deputy Owens determined the female was under the influence of narcotics and she refused commands when he attempted to detain her. She became combative and attempted to flee on foot.


After a brief struggle, Deputy Owens was able to arrest Ashley Gray age 32 of Gray, KY charging her with disorderly Conduct-2nd Degree, Public Intoxication Controlled Substance, Fleeing or Evading Police-2nd Degree and Resisting Arrest.


Ashley Gray was lodged in the Knox County Detention
