From WRIL The Big One -
We have been informed that early Sunday morning January 19th, local first responders were paged to a shooting at a residence on Highway 221 in the Bledsoe community.
We understand those on scene stated a gun accidentally discharged while being cleaned, went through a wall, and struck an 8-year-old female child.
KSP Trooper Shane Jacobs tells us that the child was initially transported to Harlan ARH and later transferred to UK for further treatment.
KSP Trooper Cameron Cornett arrested 34-year-old Andrew Sundberg, of Irvington, AL. He has been charged with Wanton Endangerment First Degree (Discharge of a Firearm) and is currently lodged in the Harlan County Detention Center.
