Gunfire And Screaming Call Results In Serious Charges For Gray, Ky. Man

On Monday, June 3, 2024, at approximately 1:45 pm, Knox County Deputy LT Sam Mullins responded to a report of a gun fire and a female screaming at residence on KY 233 in Gray.


After arriving at the residence and conducting an investigation, LT Mullins learned that 33-year-old Cody Hutton of Gray had fired a handgun at residence occupied by three people - an adult male, adult female and a one (1) year old child. Cody Hutton then fled the area on foot.


At 4:45 pm on Monday, Hutton was located and arrested on KY 830 in Gray, approximately three (3) miles from the scene. He was charged with three (3) counts of Wanton Endangerment -1st Degree. Hutton also had a loaded semi-automatic handgun in his possession at the time of his arrest, he was then charged with Possession of Firearm by Convicted Felon and lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
