From trespass to contraband

According to a citation, on Sunday night April 21, 2019 at approximately 7pm Pineville Officer Michael Smith responded to the High Rise in regard to someone trespassing at the property.


Once on scene Officer Smith discovered 25 year old Danielle Rice of Pineville at the residence of the victim in a case from April 18th when she was arrested for criminal mischief 3rd degree. Per the conditions of her release from that arrest, Rice was not to have contact with the victim nor the property. When Rice saw Officer Smith she ran out of the back of the apartment building into a wooded area, but was soon caught by Smith.


She was then taken to the Bell County Detention Center to be booked into the facility. During a search by detention center staff member Kayla Robinson, Rice was found to have two baggies with suspected Methamphetamine and a syringe. Prior to the search she was asked if she had anything illegal on her.


Danielle Rice was charged with criminal trespass – 3rd degree, violating conditions of release, possession of controlled substance 1st degree, 1st offense – Methamphetamine, buying/possessing drug paraphernalia, and promoting contraband – 1st degree. She is being held on a $2,500.00 cash bond.
