From The Evarts Police Department -
A drug trafficking arrest was made by the Evarts Police Department after a lengthy investigation. 36-year-old Anthony Wynn of Harlan KY was arrested on January 3, 2024, by Evarts Police Department and District 2 Constable Scotty Moore.
The investigation stimmed from the police department receiving several complaints from citizens that Wynn was supplying drugs to multiple individuals on KY38.
Through the investigation Evarts PD was able to make controlled buys on Wynn and also discovered was that he was on the lifetime sex offender registry. Wynn had lived in Harlan KY for lengthy period of time without registering as a sexual offender.
Warrants were obtained by Evarts PD and Wynn was arrested and lodged in the Harlan County Detention Center charged with:
2 COUNTS - TRAFFICKING IN CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE - 1ST DEGREE, 1ST OFF - (> OR = 2 GMS METHAMPHETAMINE)
TRAFFICKING IN MARIJUANA ( LESS THAN 8 OZ.) - 1ST OFFENSE
REGISTERED SEX OFFENDER SCHOOL RESTRICTIONS
FAILURE TO COMPLY W/SEX OFFENDER REGISTRATION - 1ST OFFENSE
