On Thursday September 12, 2024, Knox County Sgt. Jesse Smith was dispatched to Baptist Health Corbin Hospital in regard to a sexual assault complaint.
According to his investigation, the female juvenile victim
Stated that 47-year-old Terry Blevins attempted sexual intercourse with her, penetrated her with a finger, and also performed oral sex on the child. She also stated Blevins forced her to perform oral sex on him multiple times.
Deputy Smith conducted a search of Blevins home after executing a warrant. The search yielded items described by the victim during the investigation. Blevins was then taken to the Corbin Police Department for interrogation from Deputy Smith and Corbin Detective Hodge, which lead to his arrest on Tuesday night, September 17th.
Terry Blevins was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center, charged with rape - 1st degree, and sodomy - 1st degree (victim under the age of 12). He is being held on a $250,000 cash bond.
