On Thursday January 28, 2021 a Claiborne County man was arrested after a true bill was returned on Tuesday the 26th by the Grand Jury for multiple serious sexual offenses against a child.
The 26 count indictment against 69 year old Harry Cooper of Tazewell involved a time period from September 5, 2016 to September 10, 2020. The charges against Cooper are for (8) eight counts of rape of a minor female child, (8) eight counts of sexual battery by an authority figure, (8) eight counts of incest, assault, and continuous sexual abuse of a child.
He is being held in the Claiborne County Jail on a $100,000 secured cash bond.
