Car wash drug bust also yields several firearms in Lee County, Virginia

From The Lee County Sheriff's Department -

Sheriff Gary Parsons said on January 7, 2023 Agents with the Southwest Virginia Drug Task Force along with Deputies of the Lee County Sheriff's Office conducted an operation at a car wash in Jonesville.


During the operation four ounces of Methamphetamine with a street value of $5000 was sized along with three handguns and an AR style rifle. During the arrest the male subject was non-compliant with Officers and force had to be used to place subject in custody.


Arrested were 54-year-old Oral Douglas Engle of Greenville North Carolina and 54-year-old Jennifer Janson of Cincinnati Ohio.


Both suspects were charged with Distribution of a Schedule 2 Narcotic, conspiracy, transporting more than one ounce of a schedule 2 Narcotic into the Commonwealth of Virginia, and being in Possession of a firearm while being in possession of a schedule 2 narcotic.


They are being held at the Duffield Regional Jail with no bond.
