Big Laurel man charged with sexual offenses involving children

On Saturday June 26, 2021, a Big Laurel Kentucky man was arrested on sexual offenses.


Complaint warrants taken out by Kentucky State Police Detective Jake Middleton state that 36-year-old Jamie T. Boggs is accused of raping, sexually abusing, and sodomizing multiple juveniles under the age of (12) twelve years old.


The acts are said to have happened between January 1, 2011 through April 30, 2016 in Harlan County.


Boggs was arrested and lodged in the Harlan County Detention Center charged with:

(63) sixty-three counts of rape – 1st degree – victim under 12 years of age,

(67) sixty-seven counts of sodomy – 1st degree – victim under 12 years of age,

(2) two counts of sexual abuse – 1st degree victim under 12 years of age


Jamie T. Boggs is being held on a $100,000 cash bond.
